The food web of the artic starts out with liverworts, grasses, caribou moss and lichens as the primary producers. Then there are 5 main primary consumers. Pikas eat only liverworts and grasses. The
musk ox only eats grasses. Caribou eat Caribou moss as well as grasses. Lemmings eat grasses and Lichens. The artic hare will only feed on lichens. Up next we have the secondary consumers. The Artic Fox feeds on Pikas and Lemmings. The brown bear eats artic hares, lemmings, grasses and pikas. On to the third part of consumers, Artic wolves will eat artic foxes, caribou, and musk ox. Polar bears will only eat the artic fox out of these animals. Kittiwakes will eat artic foxes and artic hares. Lastly, the snowy owl eats artic hares, lemmings, and artic foxes. All of these get broken down eventually after death. Decomposers such as insects, fungi, bacteria, mosses and mushrooms.
